I can still see some stitches on my incision site after breast surgery. What should I do?

If there are remnant stitches, they should be the absorbable/dissolvable ones. This is not dangerous in any way, and essentially is your body rejecting the remnant stitch and “pushing” it out of your body. If you have a remnant stitch, keep the area clean and use an antiseptic. We recommend that you contact a local clinic to have the stitch that pokes out removed or trimmed by a doctor, as it can cause delayed healing of your surgical wound.
